23.10.2009. The customer is the Talivaara Mining Company Plc in Finland. By this delivery, KVX proves its strong hold in this market segment. The bucket is similar to the one delivered to the Komatsu WA1200 at the Titania mine in south western Norway.
Talvivaara Mining Company Plc is an internationally significant base metals producer with its primary focus on nickel and zinc. Talvivaara´s main asset is the Talvivaara nickel mine in Sotkamo, Finland. The Talvivaara polymetallic deposits comprise one of the largest known nickel resources in Europe with 642 million tonnes of ore, sufficient to support an anticipated production for an estimated more than 60 years. With a planned annual production of approximately 33,000 tonnes of nickel, Talvivaara has the potential to provide 2.3% of the world's current annual production of primary nickel by 2010.
