Hinged lip
For many years KVX have had an ultimate goal to provide welding free GET systems to both the Construction and Mining markets, and have delivered our renowned bolt-on teeth & segments since mid 1980’ies. The Hinge lip is a break-through when it comes to the lip itself.
The basis for the KVX Hinge Lip system is its ability to be quickly and easily changed in the mine mechanically, allowing overhaul in the service shop.
The Hinged Lip is connected to the bucket side wall by a hinge system which allows the side plate and the lip to move independent of each other (see video).
Tooth changes between lip overhaul are done in the mine with our established 1-bolt and or E2 tooth systems.
